    John Sheekey is an Assistant Professor at University College Dublin (UCD), Ireland, since 2015. He obtained his PhD from UCD in 2011, before taking postdoctoral positions in Università di Padova, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, and Universiteit Gent.
    His main research interests are in linear algebra over finite fields, specifically rank-metric codes, semifields, and finite geometry.

    Violeta Weger is an Assistant Professor of Applied Algebra in the Mathematics Department at the Technical University of Munich.
    Her research interests include cryptography, algebraic coding theory and number theory.





  • Delaram Kahrobaei, The City University of New York, USA

    Delaram Kahrobaei is a Professor of Computer Science and Mathematics at the City University of New York, QC, and a member of the doctoral faculty in Mathematics at the CUNY Graduate Center. She is also an Adjunct Professor at New York University and the University of York.
    Her research focuses on post-quantum cryptography, algebraic cryptography, group theory, quantum computing, and applications of artificial intelligence to cryptanalysis and secure computation. She is a co-author of Applications of Group Theory in Cryptography: Post-Quantum Group-Based Cryptography. She has held academic positions and visiting appointments in Europe, in particular at IHES, and has given numerous invited talks internationally. Her research has been supported by several grants, including projects funded by the U.S. Department of Defense, the National Science Foundation, and the Simons Foundation. She was the lead organizer of the IHP trimester on Post-Quantum Algebraic Cryptography and has led several international research initiatives at the interface of algebra, cryptography, quantum computing, and AI..
